Are you suffering from chronic joint pains or nerve damage? Persistent pain can prohibit you from performing many routine and daily tasks, as well as enjoying favourite pastimes and hobbies in and around Dorridge. Conventional methods of treatment, such as painkillers can produce only short-term benefits. In contrast, a holistic osteopath will aim to relieve the chief complaint and treat the person and not just the condition.
Osteopathy aims to diagnose and treat musculoskeletal disorders without resorting to drugs or surgical intervention. It is gentle, non-invasive and provides holistic care through manual physical therapy techniques such as soft tissue massage, stretching and joint manipulation. A holistic osteopath will couple manual methods with advice on exercise and diet to boost and quicken recovery.
Our practice is in Balsall Common, but we welcome patients from Dorridge and the surrounding areas. Your first consultation will usually last approximately an hour and consists of three distinct parts:
Consultation – First, we will have an informal and confidential discussion around the pain and daily discomfort you experience. We will also catalogue a full medical history.
Examination – You will have to perform some physical movements so the osteopath can gain an insight into how mobile you are.
Diagnosis and treatment – After we conclude the initial assessment, we will offer a diagnosis and put together a holistic treatment plan that you are entirely comfortable with doing.
